Experimenting with Motion and Timing
This project was a personal endeavour to further develop my video editing and animation skills.
The audio is of a Korean artist, Jeon So-Yeon, when she wrote an original rap to introduce her
team in a TV series competition.
Final Product
Key point of this project was create original animation that emulates the lyrics and the
confident message of the original artist. The biggest challenge was keeping the tension and the
fast pace of the lyrics but maintaining the legibility.
To overcome this challenge, I chose a blocky san serif font that shared a similar weight
in both Korean and English. I used masking and lowered opacity to create a sense of depth
between the background elements and create emphasis on the main lyrics.
